SALINEVILLE -- Southern Local carved up McDonald 42-7 to open the season on Friday.
The Blue Devils actually led 7-0 after the first quarter, but Southern scored 36 over the second and third quarters to blow out McDonald.
Southern will return to action on Friday at Crestview. The Rebels kept it close in a 17-7 loss to Salem on Thursday at Sebo Stadium.
