Thanks & Spanks
THANKS, writes a reader, to the nice gentleman who returned my brown purse, which I had misplaced, to Kmart last Sunday. There’s still honest people out there.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the Wellsville High School volleyball team and coaches for giving the entire community a source of pride and a season to remember. Your success is a shining example of the rewards of hard work and sportsmanship for our younger future Tigers. Good luck in the tournament. We’re all behind you!
THANKS, writes a reader, to the cooperation between our local police and fire departments that assist each other, when needed, no matter the jurisdiction or even the state.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference and the powers that be for scheduling its volleyball all-star game to be played prior to the completion of the season for league champion Wellsville. Several of the league’s top players were deprived of this honor simply because of the success of the team. The players could have at least been designated as all-stars and named to the team even if they couldn’t have played.
THANKS, writes a reader, to those who seek public office for the betterment of the people for whom they represent, and they area they, themselves, live. SPANKS, though, to those just looking to move up the ranks for their own personal achievement.
THANKS, writes a reader, to fire personnel and police officers for assisting during the trick-or-treat hours in our communities, keeping our children safe during this happy celebration.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to those who drink the Kool-Aid of their political party without even considering the opinion of the other side.
