Thanks & Spanks

THANKS, writes a reader, to Tomlinson Run State Park Superintendent Morris and his group of hardworking employees for another successful season. The hard work is evident in not only how beautiful the park is, but also in the many events available there for the community and children. I know several children who have stated how much fun they had there over the summer. Job well done.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to those who don’t see the real issue behind certain causes, and instead focus on what is perceived to be the issue. THANKS, though, for the right for all of us to have and share our own opinions.

THANKS, writes a reader, to longtime USPS carrier Mike Densmore, who has delivered mail out in our Calcutta area for many years. As we watch for him each day, he in return has watched our neighborhood change, children grow, and some of us grow old. He will be missed on his daily route. Happy Retirement to our mailman!

THANKS, writes a reader, to the Wellsville Police and Fire departments for getting a bat out of my home. Their prompt action and concern were greatly appreciated.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to the Pittsburgh Steelers for opting to stand in the tunnel during the playing of the national anthem. No more games for me.
