THANKS, writes a reader, to the Chester Water Department and a few helpers for repairing a water break at 2nd Street and Carolina Avenue the day before Christmas. Good job crew, as always.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the two gentlemen who came to my aid a couple weeks ago. I struck something (a rock?) covered with snow, damaging my car's front wheel. These men came to my aid when I got my car to the curb in front of the Moose Club on 3rd Street in East Liverpool. They sent me to Bill Tice service station where the young man there fixed my wheel. One of the men at the Moose Club even made sure I got safely to the service station. Thanks again, guys. Your kindness will surely be rewarded.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the young man that went around selling school products with his child and did not deliver the products I bought. I hope you enjoyed your $20 that you got from me. You're teaching your child how to be honest?
THANKS, writes a reader, to the lady who lives close to Y&O Road that gave me a fleece blanket after I flipped my vehicle while trying to avoid a doe in the road. The temperature was close to 5 degrees, and I couldn't get to my jacket. I do not know your name, but thank you. I would return the blanket if I knew who you are. Also THANKS to the person who was first on the scene and let me use their phone to call my spouse to let her know. I would also like to say thanks the Liverpool Township Police Department, the State Highway Patrol and Calcutta Towing. Just a reminder to 'yinz' all -- wear your seat belt! As this is what saved my life!
THANKS, writes a reader, to all those who have been feeding the 10-plus stray cats at the old Head Pin Alleys parking lot in the East End. They are all still looking healthy as of Jan 1, 2017. Keep on with the kindness.
THANKS, writes a reader, to Donnie Murray of Chester for all of his hard work and continuous attention to detail he took this Christmas season to make sure Virginia Gardens was properly secured and decorated.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to those motorists who continue to follow entirely too close to others during bad driving conditions, aka winter storms. Some drivers do practice safety driving methods as they travel and riding their bumper doesn't help the situation. Think safety first, please.
