SPANKS, writes a reader, to the "Grinch" who helped himself to Christmas envelopes left for service providers. Apparently on Sunday night, under the cover of darkness, someone collected all of the envelopes throughout our neighborhood. Shame on you.

THANKS, writes a reader, to the East Liverpool boys basketball team and coaches for their support and appearance at the hospital when one of their teammates was injured during a game. Team goes further than winning or losing.

THANKS, writes a reader, to director Lisa Ensinger and the East Liverpool High School and Junior High choir students for their performance last week. The kids' musical talents showed through in every song that echoed throughout the auditorium. Job well done.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to those who question whether church services should take place this Sunday, which happens to be Christmas Day. Remember, there is a "Reason for the Season."
