THANKS, writes a reader, to the Liverpool Township road department for filling the pothole on 7th Avenue, but SPANKS for making it only a temporary fix.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the Community Resource Center for coming to the rescue of the clients at Senior Link Adult Day Service/OVHHS by delivering cases of bottled water due to the recent water main break in our area. THANKS, especially, to the driver, Jay, who delivered the water and who wouldn’t take a donation for gas, but said, “Absolutely not, glad to help.” His Aunt Lola attends Senior Link ADS.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to property owners, both private homes and businesses, who think all there is to taking care of their area is occasionally cutting the grass. Take pride in your property, your surroundings and your city. THANKS to those who do take time to make their property neat and weed free.
THANKS, writes a reader, to Becky, who bought me ice cream at Bruster’s and helped me with my dog after I discovered I had left my purse at home. She made my day.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to whomever is responsible for maintaining the entrance/exit to Ogilvie Square because the potholes are getting deeper and wider and more dangerous with every day.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the Chester city government leaders whose antics are becoming an embarrassment to the community. Grow up and learn to respect each other even in your disagreements. Your behavior is a reflection on the citizens you represent and we’ve had enough.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to our neighbors on Olde Mill Lane for complaining about our boat sitting in our driveway for more than 30 days. There was an accident at the body shop with our truck and it was totaled, leaving us with no way to haul the boat until the insurance claim was settled. We wish you would have came to us instead of complaining to the homeowners association so we could have explained why. We’re well aware of the rules, but didn’t have a choice in the matter.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the CMHA for its donation of refrigerators to the Veterans of Foreign Wars pavilion. It was greatly appreciated.
