THANKS, writes a reader, to the thoughtfully kind person who found a missing black glove at Walmart and turned it in to customer service. The gloves were a special Christmas gift from my daughter.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to those individuals who repeatedly drive their vehicles through Smith Oil Gas Station on St. Clair Avenue in the morning and afternoon to drop off/pick up their children at the bus stop. This is a place of business, it’s not a drive-thru as you have made it.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local department store employee who told me I’m “too fat” for a scale I was trying to buy.

THANKS, writes a reader, to the honest employee at Tim Horton’s who found my purse and turned it in to the manager. By the time I got home, the phone was ringing to tell me it was there to pick up. I appreciated it more than they know. A reward was given.

THANKS, writes a reader, to Jeff Poole for cleaning the snow off his neighbors’ driveways and walks in Newell Heights. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local bank teller who laughed at my paycheck while cashing it and proceeded to tell me it must stink having a lousy job.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local fast food restaurant employee who threw sauce packets at me, which hit me in the face, when I told her she had forgot them in my order.
