THANKS, writes a reader, to the customer who found my purse I left in a buggy at the Goodwill store and turned it in to the cashier. It was greatly appreciated.

Spanks, writes a reader, to school administrations that close school in the name of safety for our children, but then permit athletic practices and games to take place as scheduled, especially when conditions aren’t any better.

Thanks, writes a reader, to businesses that see to it that the sidewalks and parking areas where they are located are free of snow and ice. Spanks, however, to those who don’t seem to care.

Spanks, writes a reader, to East Liverpool officials for not maintaining Montgomery Avenue, which is a sheet of ice, as well as other similar side streets during the winter months.
