Romans 8:31 asks: "What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
There is a great deal of talk these days about team-work – in the office, in sports, in political campaigns, and in contests of all types.
What kind of team do you want to be on? Of course, we all want to be on the winning team. In our present culture the goals for winning are messed up. Some think that when they put someone down, they win.
Some think that having the most money, the best car and the best clothes makes them a winner.
What is really important, is when you give your life to Jesus Christ.
It is then that you meet the team captain face-to-face, and also begin to enjoy fellowship with other believers.
This ultimately leads us to an eternal reward of experiencing pleasures greater than we could ever imagine, with no tears, no sorrows and no sickness. When we are on God's team, He coaches us all through life's journey as we faithfully follow His inspiring and infallible rule book the Bible. We are then winners regardless of the many forces attacking us in an effort to steal and destroy our devotion.
God loves us and wants us to choose his ways, which ultimately leads to victory. May all of us on God's team keep our hearts and minds set on loving and serving Him. It is then that we will be granted the power to win because
He is our captain and will lead us to great and joyful victory.
