I am a Christian

FROM THE PULPIT

By PASTOR MIKE DYER 2 min read

When you become a Christian, people start watching you to see if you are going to fall.

One thing I know for sure – I am not perfect. I am just a guy trying to live the new life that God gave me along with the chance to finally get life right.

I do know what my life was like before I accepted Christ and became a Christian. I used to drink, run around with the wrong crowd, and my life was empty.

Even though I got married and became a father; I was still empty on the inside. The moment I accepted Christ into my life, things started to change. As I earnestly sought to be increasingly faithful to the Lord, I began to move in the right direction and became the new creature in Christ that He had made possible for me by His amazing grace. The changes did not come over night, but with God's kindness and mercy I became the man I am today.

I am now the pastor of two great churches, serve as a chaplain at East Liverpool City Hospital, and am enthusiastically involved in my community.

If you desire for your life to significantly change; look to the Lord, put your faith in Jesus Christ – and you will find the wonderful life you have been looking for.
