To the editor: Rejoice! Despite the cynicism, the despair of a long-suffering public, relief is visible on the horizon. No longer will any citizen be neglected by a loving, all-embracing government, for politicos in DC have at last promised us Utopia. Against cameras used to issue ‘speeding’ tickets To the editor: Years ago, Steubenville had photo tickets, these were deemed unconstituitioal through a class action lawsuit. The cameras were taken down. On Feb. 21, our daughter came home to Toronto from Akron and got a ticket the same place we had gotten our ticket in July 2018. It was the same deal, she was ticketed going 47 in a 35 mph zone. Our ticket was 49 mph in 35 zone. This is a trap no doubt because the post from 50 to 35 is a blink of an eye. We were destined to be a service economy a la flipping burgers at McDonald’s, Wendy’s or Burger King. Prayers for us all

Editor: With whom does one associate when contemplating communal prayers? Among others, it’s the needy, the destitute, world leaders, and not least of all, the politician. Go to church or the synagogue and you’ll most assuredly hear the minister, priest or rabbi praying on their behalf, week in and week out. Seldom do men of the cloth and their parishioners alike fail to make these standard supplications to God. An exception should be made in the case of the politician. I’m no victim

Editor: I am am writing in an effort to correct inaccuracies stated in the submission from Karen Seidner of Lisbon titled “Law Should Bite Back at Someone” regarding an incident that happened in August at the Columbiana County Dog Pound. I am the volunteer who was bitten. I applaud and am thankful for Amy Lynn Dowd, Heidi Jo Pecorelli, Jessica Lynn Gordon, the deputies and inmate who came to my aid and Mike Halleck for their immediate actions.
