To the editor: Placing profit before people and planet is an operative corporate formula for a disaster waiting to happen. And in East Palestine it did happen, with a vengeance. The grave effects of the disastrous train derailment culminating in a highly toxic mushroom cloud over this beleaguered village will linger on for years. To the editor: I had the pleasure last Saturday morning of attending and watching a well-organized youth basketball league for player development in Salem. Coaches and parents were on hand providing encouragement and the basic fundamentals and skills for the game of basketball. A good crowd on hand to cheer on the young players. About six , or seven older siblings, looking for things to do, started bouncing basketballs off of the huge American flag hanging on the wall in the corner of the gym. County Auditor: Property reappraisal completed

To the citizens of Columbiana County: I wanted to let you know we recently completed our 2022 reappraisal which is mandated by the State of Ohio to be completed every six years (O.R.C. 5713.01.)
