Liverpool Township official endorses trustee
To the editor:
I am sending this letter of endorsement on behalf of Trustee Keith Burke, of Liverpool Township, who is competent, efficient, and honest.
I have spent the last 24 years serving the Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals for Liverpool Township, both of which are unpaid positions. During that time, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. The last two years have been very encouraging. During the span of 24 years of knowing all of the township trustees and fiscal officers, the last two years have been the best for the taxpayers and the township in general ever.
Since the departure of Mr. Steve Betteridge two years ago and the election of Dennis Giambroni as a trustee as well as the election of a new fiscal officer, Carolyn Beverly, the township is in the best condition that I have seen in the 24 years that I have served the township.
Currently, I hold the position of Chairman of the Zoning Commission. I have experienced a very positive relationship and observed all three trustees in action: Mr. Burke, Mr. Bahen, and Mr. Giambroni. Also, I have observed Carolyn Beverly’s services to our township as a fiscal officer in a very positive light.
As a result of the effectiveness of the three trustees and the fiscal officer, our police, road crew, and fire department have been the best that I’ve ever seen.
What has been very enlightening is that we have a new township facility not costing our taxpayers an additional 1.2 million in taxes.
It is important that you vote on election day for Keith Burke to maintain the harmony we have in our township officials.
Gary D. Bonnell,
