Tri-State Chaplaincy encourages support of its services

To the editor:

Jesus declared in Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find:; James 4:2 later stated that ‘you have not, because you ask not’. As we consider the directives from those who taught like our Lord and we who are teaching and striving to reach all now, Would you be willing to help us?

The Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee continues its tireless efforts to ensure that when patients and their families of all ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds are serviced at the East Liverpool City Hospital, we spiritually meet them where they are and earnestly attempt to meet their needs. Our services are available 24/7, 365 days by our volunteers. We desperately need your help, on a regular or annual basis. We attempt to raise the funds necessary to carry out our work. Now our coffers are extremely low. At the current pace, we may be forced to reduce our services, if not ending them all together, without your help.

As you very well know, the services we provide go above and beyond the typical “call of duty,” but it is our endeavor to service the whole of person. Whether a patient or a family member is dealing with a life changing diagnosis, or the task of informing family members that a loved one has transitioned from this life, we are there to provide compassionate, kind and sincere care.

Would you be willing to join us in our continuing effort in this loving service? Our funding is completely voluntary and goes toward our expenses of running the Chaplaincy Office. These items include, but are not limited to: Bibles for anyone requesting, activity and coloring books, clothing for funeral arrangements, reading glasses, personal hygiene items, gasoline vouchers for families needing to travel to meet a transported family member, and much, much more.

All contributions are greatly appreciated and acknowledged with a letter of thanks and are fully deductible for tax purposes. We generally ask for one-time donations, but we would be deeply honored if you would include us in your annual budget, or your estate planning, knowing that all donations are directly used for our operations. Please help us to continue to touch one or many hearts at a time! We thank you as do those we serve and our community.

Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee East Liverpool,

Robert C. Kidd, Chair;

Rico Brown, Vice Chair;

Paul Sturm, Office Manager;
