Paul Cowey is the only person running for Hancock County commissioner who cares about the issues. I say this because he attends every commission meeting and takes notes. None of the other candidates have done so. He talks to people attending the meetings, asks questions, and listens to concerns. No other person running for the Hancock County Commission has. Not one other candidate has shown any interest in speaking to the public about his vision for the county.
The Republican candidate running for office moved to Hancock County just in time to meet the requirement to run for office -- unlike Cowey who grew up here and has run a successful business in Weirton for over 30 years. The Republican candidate has stated he does not want to know anything about the county until he takes office. Well, I guess why bother until you get a check for it, right?
As far as the Independent candidate, he also has not attended any meetings and as far as I can discern has no ideas either. The only thing I've noticed are his cool signs, but is that a sound reason to elect someone to our county commission? Because they have clever signs?
I have known Paul Cowey since he was a student at Oak Glen and know him to be a man of his word, a man who will vote his conscience even if it means a 2-1 vote.
Cowey will stand up for what he believes is right.
If ever Hancock County needed a person like Paul on the commission, it is now. Honesty and Integrity aren't just words on his sign. They are virtues by which he has lived life..
Vote for Paul Cowey.
