Dear Editor:
Let's talk about Donald Trump, everybody's doing it. Traveling through the area I see Trump stickers on cars and signs in people's yards and I'm wondering, Why Trump?
People are saying they want change. President Obama got millions of people medical insurance that couldn't be gotten previously; he saved millions of jobs with a crippled auto industry; and he lived up to many of his promises, and would have done much more if the majority Republican congress didn't hold him back. So, what's to change? Some changes you'll see for sure with a Trump presidency will be his arrogant dictatorship, sarcasm and terrible attitude toward other Americans and foreigners. He's proved so far what a US president shouldn't be.
Let me make a few suggestions who shouldn't vote for Trump and why.
1. All women: Trump's been very insulting about them.
2. All black people: We saw how he leaned toward the KKK and David Duke, there's much more that can be said here.
3. All Hispanics: The immigration deportation, the wall, the insults, etc.
4. All Republican supporters of the 16 other candidates that got insulted out of the race.
5. All people making $50,000 or less: Trump said you're making too much, (he said that).
6. All Social Security recipients: Trump wants to privatize SS, eventually fazing it out.
7. All Union workers: Every benefit you have was gotten by Democrats.
8. All Donald Trump University students that got took.
9. All Bernie Sanders supporters: Hillary Clinton supports 95 percent of Bernie's goals.
10. All income tax payers: Trump doesn't pay taxes and calls it brilliant and smart. Are people who pay taxes dumb?
11. All military people: We all know you're the best, yet Trump says you're in shambles.
12. All veterans who use the VA: Trump wants to privatize the VA. We don't need billionaires calling the shots with vets.
I just don't know what to think about the people supporting Trump -- he just can't do anything wrong in the eyes of his supporters, no matter how wrong he is. He said once "I can shoot someone on 5th Avenue and get away with it."
Can you believe this man's thinking? Hitler swayed most of the German people in the early 1930s, and we saw what happened there.
Can Americans be taken in by this pompous, conceited egocentric?
I got that last word in the dictionary and it certainly describes Trump to a "T."
Please don't abuse our American privilege and duty by not voting. No matter what your thoughts are, say it to the American people by voting.
God bless us all, please.
