Memories live on

1 min read

Dear Editor:

Fifteen years is a long time and yet it seems to have passed in a blink of an eye! I still remember the events of 9-11-01 – everything. Where I was. What I was doing. And my reaction – the reaction of the whole world.

When you lose someone – be it a wife, a husband, a mother, a father, a sister or brother – their memory fades, but for some reason the death of a child is different. It is not as if you stop loving your wife or husband or other children – each child is special in their own way and each has a lace in your heart that when they die, it is as though that place has been physically torn out and all that is left is memories!

The life Cathy had, I believe, was her choice. She had a dream and she worked hard to achieve it! No parent could ask for anything else. She was a happy, loving person. She will always be missed and nothing will take her place in my heart.

Cathy I love you. Mom
