Dear Editor:
Newsflash for liberals, progressives, socialists, or whatever name democrats are currently using: The founding fathers did not adopt the 2nd Amendment because people needed guns to hunt; nor was it just so we could hold off Indian attacks; nor was it just so we could keep robbers at bay; nor just to enter shooting competitions or to show off our gun collections. No, what they had in mind was that someday a tyrannical government would appear and usurp citizens’ rights. If that did occur, they wanted citizens armed and ready to repel such tyranny. Whether it be one man or one woman and her myrmidons, they could expect to face armed opposition.
I bring this to your attention because some in the mainstream media went “bonkers” when Trump said that if HRC’s Supreme Court would abolish the 2nd Amendment, then those defending gun rights would know what to do.
This hullabaloo immediately erupted because they accused Trump of calling for the assassination of HRC. What!?! Maybe those in the media have assassination on the brain. On the other hand, Trump appears to have greater knowledge of the constitution than the media, who’ll never admit publicly that their actions are supportive of HRC, although media bias is evident to even a casual observer. The biased media jumps to vague conclusions which they broadcast repeatedly until a confused public accepts falsehoods as facts.
Name-calling and slanderous branding has been a democrat tactic from the time of Abraham Lincoln, the “Black Republican,” who dared to suggest all human beings be treated equally.
Some of you remember when DDE was labeled as being “dumb” compared to the egghead Adlai Stevenson. And then on it went from “crazy” Barry Goldwater to “dumb” George W. Bush. And how about “mean” George Romney? We know Trump isn’t dumb, so how about labelling him “crazy.” He can’t have a finger on the nuke button; we are warned, since we would all die and the earth would disappear just like the daisy petals being plucked in LBJ’s 1964 TV ad.
But these are the same people warning us we will “fry like an egg on the sidewalk” when the planet overheats. Can you remember the prediction of the imminent return of the Ice Age? Did you get your parkas and sled dogs ready? Who swallowed this falsehood hook line and sinker and repeatedly broadcast this stuff, ad infinitum, but the mainstream media? How about the “on a collision course asteroid” that would wipe us out in a flash? And shouldn’t we all be dead from AIDs by now and living in a Godless alternate universe, which burst into existence on its own?
Good thing we have democrats and their servile mainstream media allies to protect us, but then again, maybe too many acorns have fallen on these chicken littles’ heads. It’s possible they’re suffering some inexplicable cranial abnormality.
Oooh, watch out for Trump, though. You know he’s as crazy as Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.
