9/11 ceremony was special

1 min read

Dear Editor:

I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding coverage given for the 15th anniversary of 9/11. All those involved did a professional job and they must be proud.

I cannot express personally to all the people who were kind to me that day. I was humbled.

I especially want to thank the entire village of Wellsville. The speakers were either classmates or just friends of Cathy and made me smile with their recollections of her accomplishments. They made me cry when they said how much her death had affected their lives. They comforted me with hugs. I told them in my closing remarks that they had given me another good memory of Cathy- their love for her and their determination never to forget her.

When I arrived home there was a vase with three beautiful roses on my porch, but no note. To the person who thought enough of Cathy to give me flowers, I can only say from my soul – “thank you.”

Cathy, you are still loved and remembered. We never can forget! Love, Mom
