Voting for Hillary

3 min read

Dear Editor,

The other day I ran into a couple of friends and as conversations go these days we got into the Donald Trump thing.

I don’t know why I’m bothering with this letter as I’m pretty sure Donald Trump’s mouth will lose him the election.

I was asked who I’m voting for and I answered “Hillary Clinton,” and their immediate response was “Why are you voting for crooked Hillary?” Now that’s an exact repeat of Donald Trump’s rantings.

I’m in disbelief that any American would consider Mr. Trump as the leader of our wonderful country. He is a person who publicly denounced the Muslim religion when all religions are honored by our constitution; a person who mocked many individuals, calling women “pigs” and saying POW’s aren’t heros; this guy showed much disrespect for a Muslim US soldier killed in action and disrespected his Golden Star Mother.

Trump’s own party leaders dislike him, like, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, the Bushes (George 1 and 2 and Jeb Sr.), Ohio’s Governor Kasich and many others including Senators John McCain, Cruz and Rubio.

Trump hurt so many people, like the students at Trump University and all the employees he didn’t pay that came to millions of dollars.

There’s no end to Trump’s wrongdoings like saying he always wanted a purple heart when a replica was presented to him.

Ask anyone that received a purple heart and you’ll see people just don’t want one. Ask my wife who got a purple heart when her brother was killed in Viet Nam. Trump treated it like some toy instead of the preciousness it stands for.

I just have to vote Democrat as they all show representation for the Americans in need.

Democrats history show that through their efforts American workers gained many benefits like SS and SSI, overtime pay, minimum wage vacation time, cost of living adjustments, Medicare, Medicaid, Hospital care and sick benefits for workers, unemployment pay, and union rights – an absolute necessity at times.

The rich never did let it trickle down like “Reaganomics” said it would.

I asked my friends to name me just one thing Republicans gave workers without a fight. They couldn’t.

Clinton will be a middle- and lower-class people’s president.

What more can the majority of American’s ask for?

I’m sorry, but, just watch some of the news today and you should have no problem voting come November.

Not voting is not the answer!

It’s our American duty to vote and I suggest all Republicans vote U.S.A. and not D.J.T.

God Bless the USA and all its voters!

Note: Trump says he’ll make America great again. I ask, when was America so fantastic for the workers, middle and lower classes? Democrats at least got us benefits for an existence.
