Dear Editor:
Mr. Trump needs to return the purple heart medal given to him by a veteran that earned it. Trump is not entitled to wear it.
For him to say he always wanted one and this was an easy way to get one, is not excusable.
During the Vietnam war, Trump was a rich privileged person that got five draft deferments to stay out of the service and serve his country. Maybe had he served, he could have earned one for himself.
Also for him to attack a gold star mother and father who lost a son serving our country and to be-little John McClain for being captured while defending our country shows his true character.
Trump is not fit to be commander-in chief of our armed services.
Myself, I served in the Korean war from 1947 through 1950. Two of my sons served extended tours of service -one for 15 years in the Navy and was medically discharged after being injured, and my other son spent eight years in the air force. We are all veterans and I believe we have earned the right to say, Trump is not fit to be commander-in chief of our armed forces.
