Dear Editor:
I have seen the city repair some streets that needed addressed, and I am now asking for help from the mayor and safety service director to please fix Henry Avenue and Davis Street.
These streets are worse than many the city has repaired. It is impossible not to hit huge holes. Today I had to spend $50 to repair a muffler and clamps that were destroyed because of the horrid holes in city roads.
Don’t tell me, once again, that only a small portion pay taxes – I do and have for over 50 years. The city needs to quit wasting the funds we have on silly stuff we can do without and put the roads back into passable condition. For those who pay taxes, we deserve to have a decent road to travel to work.
No wonder people don’t want to locate here – the town is dirty and the roads are horrid.
