Dear Editor:
On behalf of the board of trustees, the superintendent and assistant superintendent of Thompson Park, I want to offer thanks to the 896 East Liverpool residents that voted in support of the 2-mill capital improvement levy on March 15. We do not take that support for granted.
In the months ahead, the park board will be working diligently to get bids for major projects and pricing equipment. Once all priorities have been set, we hope to put a 5-year improvement plan into effect. Please be aware, however, that the money generated by the levy will not be available for a year or even longer.
Thank you all, once again, for wanting to keep your park beautiful. Please make time in your day to visit Thompson and enjoy the beginnings of spring.
