George ‘Duane’ Thrasher

WILLIAMSFIELD — George “Duane” Thrasher, 75, of Williamsfield, Ohio, passed away March 18, 2022. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on May 31, 1946, he was the son of the late Cecil and Mary (McCrea) Thrasher. He served in the United States Navy. Duane was a retried Pug- Mill operator for the former Ohio Brass and Newell Porcelain. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil “Sonny” Thrasher and two sisters, Janet O’Neill and Joan Arnold. Born in East Liverpool, April 2, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Oliver W. and Betty Wright Hughes. She had worked at Parsons Coal, Riverview Greenhouse and was a daycare teacher at the Community Resource Center.
