1937-2026 Samuel O. Gillespie, 89, of Chester, passed away at his residence on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026. Born Jan. 6, 1937, in Wellsburg, he was the son of the late James Orie Gillespie and Dorothy Amelia Scott Gillespie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Iona Mae Gillespie; his grandson, Chase Elliot Young; his brothers, Harry George, James Robert, and Joseph Clark Gillespie; and his sisters, A.
