Jonathan Lee Schon of Chester entered eternal rest at his home on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, following a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. His loved ones find comfort in knowing he is now at peace and free from pain.
Jonathan was 49 years old, born on April 5, 1977, in Weirton to Eva Reynolds Schon of Chester and the late Joseph E. Schon.
Jonathan was a calm, peaceful soul whose kindness and welcoming spirit touched everyone he met. He was always ready with a smile or a listening ear, making others feel at ease. Over the years, Jonathan worked in various roles throughout the community and was a proud 1996 graduate of Oak Glen High School.
Along with his father, his maternal grandparents, Jack and Dolly Reynolds, and his paternal grandparents, Blain and Elton Schon, preceded him in death.
Jonathan's memory will be cherished by his devoted mother, Eva; his brother, Robert (Kelley) Schon of Titusville, Pa.; his beloved nephews, Gunner and Isaak Schon; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Among those who stood by him throughout his illness were his dear friends Marcus and Dave, whose steadfast support brought him comfort and strength.
Honoring Jonathan's wishes, no formal services will be held. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is overseeing the arrangements.
