Dorothy ‘Dottie’ S. Pike

1944-2026

Dorothy "Dottie" S. Pike, a cherished member of the East Liverpool community, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 2, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on Feb. 22, 1944, in East Liverpool, Ohio, Dottie's life was one of dedication, service, and love.

A proud graduate of Beaver Local High School, Class of 1962, Dottie was deeply committed to her community and faith. She was a devoted member of the Beaver Local Alumni Association and an active participant at Faith Community Church, where she served as secretary, sang in the church choir, and contributed tirelessly to the missionary society.

Dottie's professional life was equally commendable; she was a beloved hairdresser for over 60 years, serving the local community with warmth and skill, leaving behind countless satisfied customers who became like family to her.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Herbert and Mary (Marquette) Thompson; her dear sister, Becky Russell; brother-in-law Jim Russell; and her stepmothers, Virginia and Jacqueline Thompson.

Dottie's legacy lives on through her surviving family, including her beloved children Roxie (John) Trenkelbach and Marty (Penny) Pike; cherished grandchildren Keri (Jason) Chapman, Jeb (Chelsea Ward) Pike, Taylor (Jarrett Kreps) Pike, and Sherrin (James) Patti; and adored great-grandchildren Linken, Leeland, Willow, Beau, Braxton, Kye, Oakley, J.J., and Cassian. She is also survived by her siblings Jerry (Freda) Thompson and Candy (Mike) Soulterbeck; her former sister-in-law, Barb Moore; along with many nieces, nephews, and an extended network of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Dottie are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation in Calcutta on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. A funeral service celebrating her remarkable life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Dottie will be laid to rest in Calcutta Cemetery.
