Scott Douglas Whitaker

Scott Douglas Whitaker, 60, of Wellsville, passed away on Monday June 22, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1966, the son of the late Barry and Ruth Whitaker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Whitaker.

Scott was a guy that new no strangers, he was very outgoing and a good friend to many. He was a veteran of the Air Force National Guard. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State fan. He loved life and he was someone you could depend on. He would help anyone that needed something done. His love lives on in the hearts of all those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by a daughter, Kyra Whitaker of East Liverpool, and a son, Preston Scott Whitaker of Tennessee, and two grand children; a sister, Amy (Joel) Whitaker-Irizarry, a niece, Tiana and nephew Logan.

As per Scott’s wishes there are no services. The Nixon Funeral Home of Newell handled arrangements.
