Dudley Joseph Wehner

WARREN / OREGON, Wis. -- Dudley Joseph Wehner, 96, formerly of Chester, W.Va., died on July 14, 2026, shortly after celebrating his 59th anniversary with his loving wife, Ann, formerly of East Liverpool.

Dudley was born to Walter and Catherine "Marie" Wehner in Wellsville, and he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Post service, he obtained his bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University. After working as an electrical technician and steel worker, he finished his career as a letter carrier in Warren.

Dudley was a lifelong learner and was often found with a book in his hand. His passions included fishing, chess, horses, mathematics, and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity.

Dudley was preceded in death by his seven sisters, Regina, Martha, Bonevere "Bonnie," Lois Ann, Margaret Mary, Noreen and Catherine "Kay;" and four brothers, Regis, William "Bill," John "Jack" and Tom. In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his three children, Kelly, Kathleen and Paul; four grandchildren, Ryan, Meghan, Isobel and Fiona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church, Oregon, Wis., at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026.
