MaryAnn Kennedy

1949-2026

MaryAnn Kennedy, 76, of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, following a lengthy illness.

Born on Oct. 7, 1949, in Wellsville, Ohio, MaryAnn was the cherished daughter of the late Dominic and Anne Rivelle. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary (Phillip) DeSenze, Rose (Fritz) Granito, and Lucille (Mike) Drago; her brothers, Frank (Roxanne “Stormy”) Rivelle and Nick Rivelle; and her brother-in-law, Bill Payne.

A proud graduate of Wellsville High School’s Class of 1968, MaryAnn dedicated many years of her life to the dentistry profession. Throughout her career, she worked alongside her brother, Dr. Rivelle, as well as Dr. Carl Gaston and Dr. David Atcheson. Her commitment to her work reflected the same care, compassion, and dedication she brought to every aspect of her life.

MaryAnn was a proud member of the Lady Jaycees and was known for her strong will, generous heart, and unwavering kindness. She carried forward the values instilled in her by her beloved mother, Anne, and shared that love and selflessness with everyone she met. Her warmth, strength, and devotion to family and friends left an enduring impact on countless lives.

Above all, MaryAnn treasured her family. She shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Kim Kennedy, whose steadfast companionship was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Kim Kennedy; her son, Michael Steele (Karin McMahon); her daughter, Roxanne Steele; her grandchildren, Michael Steele Jr. and Matthew Schackleford; her great-granddaughter, Emaleigh; her sister-in-law, Joann Rivelle; her half-brother, Randy Young; her half-sister, Gina Young; her sister-in-law, Kelly Payne; and her niece, Jamie Payne, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

MaryAnn’s legacy is one of love, compassion, resilience, and family. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the lives she touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate MaryAnn’s life on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Arner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m.
