Clifton ‘Cliff’ Beohm

1938-2026

Clifton “Cliff” Beohm went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4, 2026. Cliff was born on April 29, 1938 Lewisburg, West Virginia. He was born to Ann Beohm Green and Hobart Beohm, who both preceded him in death.

Cliff was the oldest of seven children and began caring for his family at a young age. He moved from West Virginia to Wellsville Ohio at age 11, where he met the love of his life Bonnie Irons Beohm. He used to joke that he “chased her until she caught me.” Cliff graduated from Wellsville High School in 1956 and married Bonnie in 1958. The couple had three daughters: Kelly (Bob) Walker, Amy (Kevin) Franke, and Carrie (Matt) Chatterton. Cliff adored his girls and they all were very much “Daddy’s Girls.”

For his career he worked as an Iron Worker and a Construction Foreman for several companies such as Rulin, Hammond, and Minnotte. In his early 30s, Cliff saw his need for salvation and asked The Lord to forgive him of his sins and become The Lord of his life. He believed with all his heart that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again to give us life. He would want YOU to know and confess the same. Cliff was very involved in his church at Pleasant Heights Baptist, and later Lisbon Baptist Temple. Toward the end of his life he attended Northside church. His family has great peace in knowing that their Dad/Pappy/Papa is in heaven and they will be reunited one day.

Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie in 2016, two sisters (Darla and Sheila) and two brothers (Dan and Charlie), along with his granddaughter Kaydee Walker and two great-granddaughters, Norah Hoppel and Estella Hoppel.

He is survived by his daughters, his grandchildren Melissa Walker, Trisha Bowden, Jared (Andrea) Hoppel, Grant (Darah) Hoppel, Archer Chatterton, and Reiner Chatterton, also great-grandchildren Riley Posey, Tucker Posey, Jack Posey, Carter Posey, Taylor Bowden, Reese Bowden, Lilly Hoppel, and Matilda Hoppel.

Visitation will be held at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation in Calcutta on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church honoring Cliff’s life and legacy. II Timothy 4.7 KJV “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith”
