Marilyn L. Manley
WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Marilyn L. Manley, formerly of East Liverpool, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Born in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Marjorie Manley. She attended Kent State University, where she received her Bachelor of Education degree. Following graduation, she devoted 30 years to educating the youth of East Liverpool as a high school English teacher.
Marilyn was not only supportive of her students, but also served as a devoted family caregiver and, in her later years, continued compassionately helping fellow residents at the assisted living facility where she made her home. Her charitable and service-oriented nature also extended to various volunteer activities, especially to the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association.
A voracious reader with a deep appreciation for the arts, Marilyn enjoyed attending plays in Pittsburgh with her friends. She also loved to travel, visiting destinations throughout the United States and Europe. Above all, she adored her nieces and nephews and would express this each year by giving them themed ornaments for Christmas.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Joseph Manley and his wife, Denise, and Gerald “Bud” Manley and his wife, Charlotte; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Evangelist Rico Brown will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, May 23, at noon at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit one hour prior, from 11 a.m. to noon.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association.
