Bruce W Cheuvront

Bruce W Cheuvront, 73, of Chester, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026. He was born on Sept. 15, 1952, the son of the late Fred and Anna Belle Cheuvront. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Mike Cheuvront and a sister, Sharon Marion.

Bruce was retired from Hall China, and attended the Northside Community Church. He loved music and playing his guitar, and was formerly in a family band. He was a former karate instructor and was known throughout the Tri-State area for his wood working skills, there are many people that enjoy his porch swings and gliding chairs. He was a hard worker and a good friend to many. His love will live on in the hearts of all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Johnny) Cheuvront-Jordan of Chester; a son, Robbie (Tiffany) Cheuvront of Florida; two stepsons, Michael and Tommy O’Rourke; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Leroy Cheuvront; and two sisters, Judy Dunlap and Evon Patterson.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell, from 4 p.m. to time of funeral service at 6 p.m.
