Beverly ‘Jean’ Peters

EAST LIVERPOOL — Beverly “Jean” Peters, of East Liverpool, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 92 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marguerite Poe. She was a 1952 graduate of East Liverpool High School and worked as a dispatcher for Quaker State until her retirement in 2009. She was also a member of the East Liverpool Professional Women’s Club. She enjoyed flower gardening and decorating her home for the holidays, especially Christmas, later taking just as much pleasure in directing the decorating. Above all else, she cherished her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin Peters, whom she married on July 31, 1953; her daughter, Beth Dunphy; and her two brothers, Robert Poe and William Poe.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin Peters; her grandchildren, Dr. Christina Peters Culler and her husband Brad, Sarah Dunn, and Olivia Dunphy; and her great-grandchildren, Mark Dunn, Maddie Dunn, Maycie Dunn, Evan Culler, and Aria Culler. She also leaves behind her sister, Judy Poe, and her brother, David Poe, and his wife, Denise.

Friends may visit Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Norm Eckert officiating. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
