Betty J Brown

Betty J Brown, 94, of Chester, peacefully on April 17, 2026, went home to be with the Lord and other family members in heaven. She was born on July 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Spencer and Olive Hescht.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Brooks Brown; two sons, Thomas and Jerry Brown; six brothers, Raymond, Coleman, Floyd, Kenny, Clyde and Albert Hescht; and one sister, Marie Dawson.

Betty is survived by two sons, Michael Brown of Lisbon and Steven Brown of Texas; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Betty was a member of the Newell First Church of the Nazarene, she practiced her faith by showing compassion and love to all that knew her. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. She will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 4 p.m. to time of funeral service at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
