Lee S. Lucas
1953-2026
Lee S. Lucas, 73, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at The Orchards of East Liverpool, following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 7, 1953, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Wilber Lucas and Roberta Woods Lucas.
Lee was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Hull; his sister, Beth Bobalik; and his brother-in-law, John Bobalik.
A proud graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1972, Lee dedicated years of service to his community. He was formerly employed at the East Liverpool Water Treatment Plant and served as a patrolman for St. Clair Township. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the East Liverpool Coon Club.
Lee had a deep love for drag racing and could often be found at Quaker City, enjoying the thrill of the races. He treasured the simple joys in life, especially Tuesday afternoons spent in the garage with friends, sharing stories and laughter. Above all, his greatest joy was his grandson, Watson, with whom he cherished every moment.
Known for his stubborn spirit, Lee was also deeply devoted and fiercely passionate about his family. His love and loyalty left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Lee will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Janet Kay Detwiler Lucas; his son, Stephen Lucas (Jerrica) of East Liverpool; and his beloved grandson, Watson Lucas.
Family and friends will gather for burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at noon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
Lee’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
