George Ann Frischkorn
1938-2026
George Ann Frischkorn, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on March 12, 2026, in Columbiana, Ohio. Born on Sept. 16, 1938, in Wellsville, Ohio, she lived a life marked by service, adventure, and deep faith.
Throughout her life, George Ann was an avid advocate for education and community engagement. Her passion for learning and sharing knowledge was evident through her role as a tour host for educational opportunities in Lakeland, Florida. A devoted member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, she was actively involved in the Women’s Association and found fulfillment in serving as a chaplain assistant under Reverend Perry.
George Ann dedicated countless hours volunteering with Meals on Wheels and supporting the East Liverpool City Hospital Snack Shop. She also joined others in their weight loss journeys as a member of Take Off Pounds Seriously (TOPS) 1430 in Wellsville.
Together with her husband, Jason, George Ann explored the world, visiting six continents and embarking on over 30 cruises. Their shared love of travel created cherished memories and filled countless scrapbooks with photographs. Of all their adventures, Israel held a special place in her heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edith (Mann) Beaumont; her daughter, Connie Frischkorn; daughter-in-law, Cindy (wife of Tim) Frischkorn; brothers, David (Shirley), Earl (Helen), and Frank (Louise) Beaumont; and sisters, Mary Lou (Gary) Carson, Wilma Smith, and Beatrice Pryor.
George Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family, including her husband of nearly 70 years, Jason Frischkorn; her sons, Bruce (Kathie), Tim, and David (Mary Ann) Frischkorn; her daughter, Cathy Marie (Michael) Petrie; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of George Ann’s life will be held at the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Wellsville, Ohio, on Monday, March 16, 2026. Visitation will occur from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a funeral service at noon and a graveside service at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
George Ann will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her community, her adventurous spirit, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
