Alberta Knox-Howe, 102, of East Liverpool, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 and entered her home in glory. She was born in Wellsville on Oct. 31, 1923, the daughter of the late George and Edith (Glover) Howell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alonzo Knox, and her second husband, Gordon Howe. She was also preceded by five sisters, Goldie, Mary, Dorothy, Alta and Phillis; five brothers, Harley, Donald, Ernest, Phillip and Robert.
Alberta was a devout Christian who enjoyed gardening, going to Church, feeding the birds and spending time with her family. Her love, kindness and generosity is the daily way she lived her life. She always had a big garden and shared its bounty with many. She always had a smile and for many a hug and kiss. Her beautiful life and legacy will forever be cherished and her love lives on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Knox and George Knox, both of East Liverpool; five grand children, 17 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell, from 4 to 6 p.m. and funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn.
