Samuel Jacob Hadorn

Samuel Jacob Hadorn, 85, of East Liverpool, passed away on Feb. 21, 2026. He was born on April 2, 1940, in Wheeling, the son of the late Albert and Hilda (Miller) Hadorn. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, David Hadorn, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Sam was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he formerly worked at Dunham’s Sports, was a member of the Tri-State Coon Hunters Club, Air Force M A R S Club, and Amateur Radio Club. He attended the Wellsville 1st Christian Church.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Mary (Booher) Hadorn, at home, two sons, Thomas Linger, of East Liverpool, and James (Heather) Hadorn, of Kansas; five daughters, Brianna (Jacob Russell) Linger, of Burgettstown, Cathy (Greg) Mitchell, of Kansas, Kara Groom, of Florida, Mary Linger, of Toronto and Terea Linger of Newell. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother Ronald Hadorn, of Wheeling.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell, from 11 a.m. to time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Cemetery where Chester VFW and American Legion will conduct military honors.
