Patricia Duncan

Patricia Duncan, 88, of Newell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on June 25, 1937, in New Cumberland, the daughter of the late Wayne and Pauline (Clark) Drake.

Besides her parents, she was reunited in death by her husband of 56 years, William Robert Duncan Jr.; four sisters, Jeanette Hanst, Wanda Drake, Peggy Adkins and Frances Duvall; four brothers, Marvin, Kenneth, Gary and Dean Drake.

Pat was a charter member of the Newell Civic Counsel, a charter member of the NVFD Ladies Auxiliary, owner/operator (with her sisters), of My Sister’s Florist in Weirton, and a member of Nessly Chapel.

She is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Nancy (Mark) Molinaro, of Richmond, Ohio; a son W. Robert “Bob” (Sheila) Duncan III, of Newell; six grandchildren, Alec (Megan) Duncan, Allyson (Tyler) Atkinson, Andrew (Margo) Duncan, Bryan (Emily) Childers, Jennifer Molinaro and Mark (Lisa) Molinaro; eight great-grandchildren, William, Kolten, Jackson, Gracynn, Jordan, Charles, Alivia and Lincoln. She is also survived by two sisters, Jackie Fish of Chester and Brenda Clark of New Cumberland; and a brother, Thomas Drake of Follansbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 2 to 6 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Private Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Weirton Geriatric third floor and Enchanted Garden for the love and care they gave their Mother. The family request memorials may be made in Pat’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
