Joyce L. Everett
Joyce L. Everett, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of East Liverpool, Ohio passed away peacefully on Jan. 3, 2026 at Waterview Pointe Nursing Facility in Marietta, Ohio, surrounded by her family. She was 85.
Born in Tower Hill 2 (Luzerne Township), Pa., Joyce was the daughter of John and Helen (Vojtkofsky) Hudock of Carmichaels, Pa.. Joyce, “Hudy,” graduated from Cumberland High School in Carmichaels in 1958, but lived most of her life in East Liverpool. She was a loving housewife but was also employed at times by Hills and Kmart Department stores.
She was a past member of the Eastern Stars of the Crystal Chapter #18 and enjoyed many years in the bowling leagues (The Morning Glories) at the Tri-State Bowling Lanes.
Besides spending time with her family, Joyce’s passions included cooking, traveling, playing games with her family and on the computer, watching old movies, watching birds at her feeders, and enjoying all the flowers her late husband, John, would plant on their property. One of her favorite things later in life was enjoying lunch in her corner booth at Hoge’s Restaurant while talking to staff and friends she had there.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan B. Porter, brothers James and Thomas Hudock, stepson John T. Everett Jr., and stepson-in-law, Ronnie McArthur.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Tim) Woollard of Vienna, W.Va.; her son, Matthew (Jennifer) Everett of San Jose, Calif.; stepdaughters Melanie Everett McArthur of Moss Point, Miss. and Leigh Ann (Jimmy) Scott of Ocean Springs, Miss.; grandchildren Zack (Jonna) Lee-Blevins of Parkersburg, W.Va., Abbi Blevins (Kyle Pitzer) of Morgantown, W.Va., and Andrew Everett of San Jose, Calif., and many more step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Waterview Pointe for the special care and love she received. She truly loved them all.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society. A private grave site service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in her name to her favorite charity at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
