Jerry R. ‘Mouse’ Triner

1944-2026

Jerry R. “Mouse” Triner, 81, of East Liverpool, bid farewell to this world on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, surrounded by the comforts of home and the love of his family.

Born on May 22, 1944, in East Liverpool, Jerry grew up in the embrace of his parents, the late Jon “Jack” and Beatrice Myers Triner. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Nichols. A proud graduate of East Liverpool High School’s Class of 1963, Jerry’s Tiger spirit never faded. He answered the call of duty as a United States Army veteran from 1965 to 1967 and continued to honor fellow veterans through his devoted work with the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group.

Jerry’s hands-built dreams and shaped communities — first with Carpenters Union #1189 and #171, then at Crucible Steel until the final whistle blew, and later at Fero Porcelain, where he dedicated 19 years. He finished his working days at Calcutta Health Care, leaving a legacy of craftsmanship and kindness in every place he touched.

A pillar of the community, Jerry’s generous spirit found a home in the American Legion Post #374, VFW Post #66, and Moose Lodge #122, all in East Liverpool. Among his proudest achievements was serving as Worshipful Master at the Masonic Lodge Riddle #315 in 1995, lighting the way for others with his leadership and heart.

Jerry leaves behind a tapestry of love and memories, held especially close by his beloved wife, Virginia Blystone Triner, with whom he shared nearly three decades of laughter since 1996. Cherishing his memory are his daughters, Amy Triner and Susie Evans, both of East Liverpool; stepchildren, John Sullivan (Lisa), of East Liverpool, and Pamela Berry (Tony) of Pauls Valley, OK; along with 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each a testament to his enduring legacy. He will also be missed by his fur babies, Miley May and Okie.

Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate Jerry’s remarkable life on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dirk Hall leading the service. The family welcomes visitors on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where stories, smiles, and memories will be shared in his honor.
