Cheryl Ann Walker

Cheryl Ann Walker, 64, of Chester passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026. She was born on Feb. 8, 1961 in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Emma (Anderson) Renfro. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Renfro.

Cheryl was a graduate of Oak Glen, the class of 1979, she was retired from the Northern Hancock Bank and Trust, also formerly worked for Mountaineer Casino and the HBPA. She was a lifelong member of the Elwood 4-H Club, also the Hancock County 4-H All-Stars. She was a member of the Newell Lions Club and Oak Glen class reunion planning committee.

She is survived by her loving family, her husband Charles Walker at home; a son, Kenny (Megan) Walker of New Cumberland; two grandchildren, Gracee and Tanner. She was also survived by a sister, Donna Renfro of Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews and a canine, “Peyton.”

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026 at the Nixon Funeral home of Newell from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Cemetery.
