EAST PALESTINE – Vicky L. Pearson, 78, of East Liverpool, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at the Christian House with her family by her side.
Vicky was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Nov. 29, 1947, a daughter of the late Lester and Elma (Garvey) Lunger. She was a graduate of Beaver Local High School Class of 1965. Vicky also graduated from Kent State with a bachelor’s degree in education and from Franciscan University in Steubenville with a master’s degree in education. She worked at East Liverpool City Schools as sixth-grade history teacher until her retirement in 2015. Vicky enjoyed reading, dancing and playing Mahjong. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius where she served as a reader. Most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Preceding Vicky in death were her husband Robert P. Pearson Sr. and daughter Christina Belan.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Melanie L. Dawson and her husband Noel Jr., and Kelly L. Dawson and her husband William; son: Robert P. Pearson Jr. and his wife Chasity; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Anita Stoll and her husband David and Pamela Hartman and her husband Howard; and brother: Lester William Lunger.
Friends may visit Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday 10 a.m. at Holy Trinty Parish at St. Aloysius with Fr. Bala Marneni as celebrant. Burial at Riverview Cemetery.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
