Joyce E. Gamble
1936-2025
Joyce E. Gamble, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the East Liverpool community, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at The Orchards of East Liverpool, surrounded by her family, she was 89 years old.
Born on January 21, 1936, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles L and Laura Ruthann (Chamberlain) Clark, Joyce lived a life centered around family and love. A graduate of East Liverpool High School with the Class of 1954, Joyce spent her entire life in the area.
Joyce dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker, caring for her husband and their three sons. Her home was a place of warmth and joy, especially during holiday gatherings, which she lovingly hosted with her husband by her side. She found immense joy in the company of her family and most content in the presence of her grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and happiness for her.
In her leisure time, Joyce enjoyed visiting the casino and playing bingo as often as she could. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were evident to all who knew her.
Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Gamble, whom she married on June 12, 1954. Together they spent 69 wonderful years creating cherished memories until his passing in 2023. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Shirley Sevey, Virgil Clark, and Keith Clark.
Joyce is survived by her sons: John (Sue) Gamble, Jim Gamble, and George “Tom” (Joanna) Gamble, all of East Liverpool. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Brian Gamble, Andy (Tina) Gamble, Ryan Gamble, Amanda (Josh) Wolfe, and Brittany (Coty) Kapp, along with her great-grandchildren: Gavyn, Keith, Colton, and Karsyn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation in Calcutta. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. Joyce will be laid to rest next to John in Columbiana County Memorial Park Cemetery.
