John H. Mick

AUSTINTOWN – John H. Mick, 88, of Youngstown formerly of Mick Road, Wellsville, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Austin Woods in Austintown, Ohio.

John was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on October 5, 1937, a son of the late Kenneth and Kathryn (Henry) Mick. He was a graduate of Wellsville High School Class of 1955. John was an ironworker for Youngstown Local Union 207 retiring in 1997. He was an avid outdoorsman. John enjoyed fishing and big game hunting.

Preceding John in death were his wife Rose Marie Mick; grandson John Malcom “Bo” Mick; two brothers Thomas Mick and Donald Mick and sister Carolyn Ketchum.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons John T. Mick and his companion Sandy Perry of Florida and James L. Mick and his wife Adrienne of New Manchester; two daughters Holly Morrison and her husband Darryl of Beaver and Courtney Mick of Texas; two stepdaughters Theresa Wilson and Kimberly Wolfe and seven grandchildren Jessica Mick, Shauna Mick, Melanie Mick, Ethan Mick, Christy Morrison, Tamara Scafide and Justine Long and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
