Joan Faye Prince

1937-2025

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Joan Faye Prince, of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at CrossRoads Assisted Living following a lengthy illness. She was 88 years old.

Born in East Liverpool Aug. 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Blair Watkins and Margaret Hinds Watkins Lieshman. A resident of the area most of her life, she was a homemaker and owned and operated her ceramic business for several years. A graduate of East Liverpool High School, she was a member of the United Methodist Church. Joan was a founding member of the Potter's Pregnancy Center and was active in its annual Walk For Life event.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Kenneth "Kenny" Prince in 2018. The couple married May 4, 1956. She was also preceded by her daughter, Deborah Ann Bower in 2017; a sister, Virginia McIntosh; and five brothers, Blair, Donald, Richard, Frank and Fred Watkins.

Surviving are a daughter, Katherine "Kathy" Wilson and her husband, Gregg, of Florida; five grandchildren, David Dorow and his wife, Christie, Amy Dorow and her husband, Andrew, Sara Zita and her husband, Michael, Rachel Wilson, and Abigail Woodworth and her husband, Rusty; as well as four great-grandchildren, Micah Wilson, Hailey Woodworth, Colt Woodworth and Josie Woodworth.

Rev. John E. Bower III will conduct a funeral service Monday at 1 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
