EAST LIVERPOOL - Fonda R. Moffett, 63, of East Liverpool, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.
Fonda was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Nov. 1, 1962, a daughter of the late Lester H. and Gloria (Alford) Landfried. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1981. She attended Columbiana County Career and Technical Center where she received her LPN and also graduated from Kent State University in East Liverpool with an associate degree. Fonda worked as a psychiatric nurse at Passavant Memorial Homes. She also worked as a STNA instructor at Kent State East Liverpool and at Columbiana County Career and Technical Center. She was a member of LaCroft Church of the Nazarene. Fonda was a very caring person and took care of people all of her life. Most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Preceding Fonda in death were her beloved husband of 38 years William L. "Bill" Moffett; two brothers-in-law, Earl "Buster" Moffett and Donald Raffle; and her beloved dog Hershey.
Left to cherish her memory are her two kids who she adored Brittany Pugh and her husband Jason and Billy Moffett and his wife Angelica; grandkids who she cherished with her whole heart Adeline and Jase Pugh; two sisters Carol Landfried and Virgina "Ginny" Raffle; three sisters-in-law Kathie Milhoan and her husband Terry, Kathy Moffett and Pat Moffett; several nieces and nephews; two great-nephews and closest friends J. and Kim Milhoan.
Friends may visit Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Pastor Jeff Smith of Grace City Church will conduct a funeral service 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Moffett Family Cemetery.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Akeso Hospice for the exceptional care they provided Fonda.
