Robert T. Grier

1938-2025

Robert T. Grier, 87 of Fontana, California, passed away peacefully on Nov. 2, 2025. He was born on Sept. 7, 1938 in East Liverpool, Ohio, to Genevieve Fantone and Lawrence Grier, both deceased. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Janet (Faye) Grier, to cherish their memorable life together.

He was the youngest of six children.

Besides his wife, Faye, he is survived by their three children, Donna Grier-Couts, Cheryl Grier Mejia, and Robert Earl Grier. They have three grandchildren and four great-children. He is also survived by two sisters, Jeanne Wright of Columbiana, Ohio, and Ruby Fetty of East Liverpool, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Grier, Eddie Grier and Dick Grier.

Robert worked at Kaiser Steel and California Steel. He received a BS from Chaffey College. He enjoyed restoring cars and loved bowling. He was also an Ordained Elder at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Fontana.

A service to celebrate Robert’s life was held on Nov. 23, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ontario, California.
