Charlotte ‘Terry’ Shenton
1958-2025
Charlotte ‘Terry’ Shenton, 67, of Chester, WV, passed away on November 10, 2025, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Terry was an extraordinary wife, mother, and Mimi, and she will be deeply missed.
Born on October 26, 1958, in Clearwater, Florida, Terry graduated from Father Lopez Catholic High School in Daytona Beach, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dedreth C. Chapman, and her beloved husband, Michael J. Shenton, who passed away in July of 2025. The loss of her husband weighed heavily on her heart, and she is now at peace.
For many years, Terry and Mike managed Kennedy Park and Marina in Newell, creating a welcoming space for the community and summertime fun. Her spirit of service also shone through her long-standing commitment to the American Legion Post 121 Ladies Auxiliary.
Her children — Michael (Emily) and Lana –and her grandchildren, Cam, Andie, Mack, and Auggie, will forever cherish Terry’s loving memory. They hold countless fond memories of her kindness, laughter, and love.
We invite you to celebrate Terry’s remarkable life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Sunday, November 16, at 2:00 p.m. Prior to the service, there will be a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., allowing family and friends to come together in remembrance and support one another during this difficult time.
